Cliffside - Sled Rides in the snow

Burns day (Robert Burns, feel free to google). A decent flying forecast encouraged a group of Portland based pilots to head through to Cliffside, despite snowy and icy conditions on the road. The flying never really panned out; there was barely any wind. Lots of little flights with top landings and / or a sled ride to the river were the strategies.

Despite all that I enjoyed it. I flew several times and didn't have a chance to get cold. Cleo, my dog, loved the snow and meeting a whole bunch of new friends. And when I got home, I found a big snowball in my wing! More of an outdoor experience thing than anything else.
